Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese will face off against Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark for the first time in her WNBA career this afternoon.
The duo’s rivalry began in college when Reese’s LSU Tigers defeated Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes for a national title.
Clark got some revenge earlier this season when the Hawkeyes beat the Tigers en route to another national title appearance.
Now, a few months later, they are set to continue their rivalry in the WNBA.
Before the game, Reese was spotted walking into the arena in very tall high heels, and fans noticed she seemed to be struggling a bit.

“She struggling with those heels lol,” one fan joked.
“But listen, you think the shoes gonna be comfortable, then you start moving and…” another said.
“I think she only put those heels on for the tunnel walk…cause she’s struggling lol,” offered a third.
Earlier this season, Reese addressed the “pay gap” between college and the WNBA.
“People thought me leaving college—I would take a huge pay gap and pay drop,” Reese said, as transcribed by Complex. “I wasn’t getting paid in college, so that check that I do get here is a bonus. I mean, being able to play for what, four to five months, and get $75,000 on top of the other endorsements that I’m doing, I think it’s a plus for me.”
She emphasized that her love for the game drives her, not the money.
“I play the game I love, not for the money. I play because I genuinely love basketball,” she said. “And now that I’m a pro and able to continue working with these brands long-term, I think that’s something people don’t really realize.”
Reese and Clark will face off today at 12:00 p.m. ET.
