The Chiefs’ chances of winning Super Bowl LVIII might be influenced by Taylor Swift’s presence, as tight end Travis Kelce appears to perform better when she attends games, according to a recent study. Although Swift’s attendance at the Super Bowl is uncertain due to prior commitments, Kelce seemingly prefers her in a suite at Allegiant Stadium.
The publicized relationship between Swift and Kelce has generated significant attention this NFL season, boosting ratings for Chiefs games, particularly during the postseason. A study by BetWay compared Kelce’s performance with and without Swift in the stands, revealing that he tends to have better stats when she’s present:
- Without Swift, Kelce averaged 50 receiving yards per game, compared to 79 yards with her – an increase of 58%.
- With Swift, Kelce averaged seven receptions per game, whereas without her, he had six.
- In terms of touchdowns, Kelce was slightly more likely to score without Swift, averaging 0.5 touchdowns per game without her compared to 0.4 with her.

Despite the slight dip in touchdowns, Kelce saw significant improvements in both catches and yards when Swift was in attendance. Additionally, the Chiefs won 75% of games with Swift present compared to 66.7% without her.
Although the sample size is small, the Chiefs would likely appreciate the trend continuing at Super Bowl LVIII. Swift, with a busy schedule including the Grammys and her ongoing Eras Tour, is expected to make it to the Super Bowl, potentially giving Kansas City an advantage for the Lombardi trophy.
