Not a good look for the former child star.
Actress Alyssa Milano faced backlash on social media after sharing a photo from the Super Bowl on Sunday, following her recent GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for her son’s baseball team.
In the Instagram post featuring her and her son inside Allegiant Stadium, Milano captioned it with, “My buddy. #mothersonlove #mothersonbond #superbowl.”

Milano sparked controversy in January when she appealed to her X (formerly Twitter) followers to contribute to her son’s baseball team’s trip to Cooperstown, New York.
“My son’s baseball team is raising money for their Cooperstown trip. Any amount would be so greatly appreciated. You can read more about the team and make a donation here,” she wrote on X.
The plea, made by someone with substantial wealth, drew criticism from numerous parents who have faced financial struggles to support their children’s sports activities.
Ironically, Milano, who identifies as an activist, made the GoFundMe request after publicly denouncing Tesla and endorsing Volkswagen in November 2022. Volkswagen’s historical ties to the Nazi Party drew further attention to the perceived contradiction.
Given the average ticket price for the Super Bowl, estimated at $8,600 by StubHub, Milano’s attendance at the event fueled more criticism on social media, with some questioning her use of the GoFundMe donations.
“Using the GoFundMe donations? The suckers who donated deserve this,” one person commented on X.
“I overdrew my bank account donating to his little league GoFundMe and you’re at the SUPER BOWL??!?” another individual claimed.
“Begged for money for son’s ‘baseball’ trip and received $15,164,” another pointed out. “Shows up for Super Bowl a few days later.”
Milano’s actions have previously stirred controversy, including her fundraising campaign for providing drinking water to developing nations in 2009, her involvement in the Women’s March in 2018, and her endorsement of Joe Biden for President in 2020 despite the #MeToo movement’s principles.
