From Olympic gold medalist to WWE superstar to NFL player, Gable Steveson has officially embarked on a unique career path. According to NFL insider Adam Schefter of ESPN, Steveson has signed a deal with the Buffalo Bills. This move places him in the rarefied company of NFL players who have also won Olympic gold.
“Gable Steveson, an Olympic gold medalist and one of the most dominant college wrestlers in NCAA history, is signing with the Bills, per his agent Carter Chow. Steveson now will try to join Bob Hayes as the only athlete to win a Super Bowl ring and an Olympic gold medal,” Schefter reported.
Steveson was a standout wrestler at the amateur level, securing two NCAA titles and capturing the world’s attention by winning gold at the Tokyo Olympics, defeating numerous world champions along the way.

Following his Olympic success, Steveson considered offers from both the NFL and WWE, despite having no competitive football experience. He initially chose WWE but struggled to find his footing with the company, leading to his release a few weeks ago.
However, the Buffalo Bills have shown a keen interest in Steveson. Bills head coach Sean McDermott, a former wrestler himself, has been enthusiastic about bringing Steveson on board to see his potential in football.
Steveson faces a steep learning curve to acclimate to the NFL and ultimately step onto the field.
