Adam Silver has an exceptional knack for promoting partnerships.
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver openly praised the league’s recent collaboration with Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS in a rather surprising admission during a recent interview.
During an interview with TMZ Sports on Friday, Silver disclosed that he was currently sporting the SKIMS underwear. The 61-year-old commissioner spoke glowingly about Kim Kardashian’s new SKIMS underwear line for men, which will prominently feature the company’s logo during the NBA In-Season Tournament and All-Star Game.
He humorously remarked:
“Although I’m not going to show you, I’m wearing them right now,” Silver told TMZ. “I strongly recommend them to everyone.”
Silver emphasized that this new partnership would have a tangible impact on the game, asserting that players would experience enhanced comfort and, as a result, perform at their best in SKIMS underwear.
“When players are more at ease, it elevates their performance,” Silver explained. “So yes, this will directly influence the game.”

Earlier in the week, the NBA declared SKIMS as the official underwear partner for the NBA, WNBA, and USA Basketball. Kim Kardashian, co-founder, and creative director of SKIMS, emphasized the collaboration as a testament to the brand’s expanding cultural influence.
“SKIMS and the NBA will bring people from diverse backgrounds together through fashion, sports, and talent, and I anticipate a flourishing partnership,” Kardashian stated.
The NBA partnership announcement followed the launch of the SKIMS Men campaign, featuring prominent athletes like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander from the Oklahoma City Thunder, soccer superstar Neymar, and Nick Bosa, the star defensive lineman for the San Francisco 49ers.
Certainly, the image of Adam Silver in underwear is not something one would typically want to contemplate.
