The buzz around Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce is reaching a fever pitch.
Even ESPN’s Adam Schefter is adding a touch of playful speculation to his reporting, leveraging the dating rumors surrounding Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce that have captured fans’ imaginations.

As the world eagerly awaits confirmation of whether Kelce and Swift are indeed an item, Schefter playfully addressed these speculations during a Friday appearance on ESPN’s SportsCenter.
The NFL tight end, aged 33, found himself listed as “questionable” in the Kansas City Chiefs’ injury report due to a knee injury sustained during team practice. Schefter seized this opportunity to infuse his commentary with Taylor Swift song references as he discussed Kelce with anchor Kevin Negandhi.
“Well, Kevin, he had a limited practice today, but he was back on the field, displaying agility, making leaps, and showcasing his skills,” Schefter began, intertwining Swift’s song titles into his commentary.
“At this juncture, Travis Kelce appears determined to ‘Shake It Off’ and return to action. He fully comprehends his indispensable role as ‘The Man.'”
“Following that knee injury, it seemed like a ‘Cruel Summer’ for Travis Kelce, but now he can glimpse the ‘Daylight,’ Kevin,” Schefter continued. “He seems ‘Ready For It.’ In spite of today’s limitations, Travis [Kelce] seems poised to play this Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.”
While Kelce has chosen not to address the romantic rumors, his brother, Jason Kelce, shed some light on the situation during a post-game interview following the Philadelphia Eagles’ 34-28 victory over the Minnesota Vikings.
He humorously mentioned that he “cannot comment” on his sibling’s romantic affairs, acknowledging the fascination with Travis’ love life, likely stemming from his brief reality dating show, “Catching Kelce.” Jason added that Travis is enjoying himself, and the future remains uncertain.
Back in July, the Kansas City Chiefs player openly discussed his interest in dating the popstar on his podcast, “New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce.” During the episode, he revealed his attempt to pass Swift his phone number before one of her Eras Tour concerts earlier in the summer, expressing some disappointment that he couldn’t personally gift her one of the bracelets he had crafted.
While Swift was recently linked to The 1975 frontman Matty Healy, it was reported in June that their involvement was casual and had since concluded.
