Could Davante Adams make a comeback with the Green Bay Packers, less than two years after they traded him to the Las Vegas Raiders? One Packers’ reporter believes it’s a plausible scenario.
During the 2022 offseason, Green Bay traded the future Hall of Famer to Las Vegas in exchange for 2022 first and second-round draft picks. Subsequently, Adams signed a lucrative five-year contract with the Raiders, valued at $140 million.

In a recent episode of the “Locked On Packers” podcast, Peter Bukowski floated the idea that Adams might “consider” returning to the NFL team that played a pivotal role in his development into a superstar:
“Could there be a Davante Adams return? It’s a possibility. Perhaps he’d be open to it. Imagine if he sees Jordan Love excelling, putting on a show in Las Vegas, and Davante Adams thinks, ‘Hey, I’d love to come back, come get me.'”
Despite Adams posting remarkable statistics for the Raiders last season (100 receptions, 1,516 yards, and 14 touchdowns), the team struggled to find its groove and ended with a disappointing 6-11 record.
In their final season with Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay also underperformed, finishing 8-9, largely due to the absence of explosive pass-catching playmakers.

If the Raiders find themselves out of playoff contention nearing the trade deadline, speculation about a potential Adams trade is likely to surge.
Moreover, considering his substantial contract, it’s possible that the Raiders would prefer to explore trade options during the offseason.
Adams’ Raiders are set to kick off their season with an away game against the Denver Broncos next Sunday, while the Packers will travel to face their long-time rival, the Chicago Bears, in what promises to be an exciting showdown.
