The Jets quarterback recently found himself outmatched by mentalist Oz Pearlman during a team meeting that will be featured on Episode 2 of the HBO series “Hard Knocks” this Tuesday.
Pearlman engaged Rodgers in a card trick, instructing him to select a card from a deck and hide it with his hands.
With a simple prompt of “Think red, black,” and various card suits, Pearlman astutely deduced Rodgers’ selection, prompting a visible reaction from the quarterback.
Proving his skill didn’t end there, Pearlman confidently plucked the exact card from Rodgers’ grasp while maintaining eye contact.
The room erupted in excitement as Rodgers confirmed that the mentalist had successfully retrieved the three of diamonds, the card he had originally chosen.
This impressive demonstration continued as Safeties coach Marquand Manuel revealed that he had mentally chosen a goldfish as an animal earlier, only for Rodgers to reveal a live goldfish when opening his hands.
As the commotion grew, Rodgers was left puzzled by the astonishing feats unfolding before him. In addition to these captivating tricks, the Jets also made headlines by signing free-agent running back Dalvin Cook to a one-year contract.
