Another social media action sparks significant controversy.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown stirred up the NFL community on Friday by updating his Twitter profile picture to an image of Tom Brady in a New England Patriots jersey.
Brown explained in a tweet, which has since been deleted, that Brady is his all-time favorite player and that reminiscing about the Patriots’ dynasty brought back cherished memories from his childhood. He wrote, “TB12 is my favorite player ever. I watch the dynasty and it brought back some memories from my childhood. Go look up what he did in 2015 when he was doubted/disrespected. Yeah, I see the disrespect. Motivated … yes. That’s it,” as reported by NESN.

Despite the change in his profile picture sparking rumors, Brown remains committed to the Philadelphia Eagles.
According to Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, as cited by Bleacher Report, the Eagles have received several inquiries about Brown’s availability but have consistently rebuffed them, indicating that he is not on the trading block. Breer also noted that the Patriots had shown interest in Brown.
Brown has had a stellar performance with the Eagles, concluding his second season with 106 catches for 1,456 yards and seven touchdowns. Over his two seasons with the team, he has consistently surpassed 1,400 yards and scored at least seven touchdowns each year.
