Joy Taylor dishing out the hot takes.
In a recent episode of her show, Fox Sports host Joy Taylor sparked controversy by sharing her opinion about Dallas Cowboys’ star quarterback, Dak Prescott.
Taylor claimed that Prescott lacks the talent to make it to the NFC Championship game, a statement that surely ignited a response from Cowboys fans.
Considering the constant scrutiny surrounding Prescott and the Cowboys, Taylor’s remarks added fuel to the fire.
She argued that while Prescott is capable of leading his team to the playoffs and winning a game, he falls short of being a Super Bowl contender.
Taylor specifically pointed to Prescott as the reason for the Cowboys’ lack of success in the postseason and argued that this prevents them from being considered true contenders in the NFC.
“Dak Prescott is not that talented. We’ve seen that,” Taylor said. “He is good enough to get a team to the playoffs, Kirk (Cousins) does that. He is good enough to win a playoff game, Kirk does that. He is good enough to have a high-flying offense, a good regular season record, win a division. And all of those are inherently good things that make you a franchise quarterback. But we don’t have to talk about you as if you are a Super Bowl contender.
.@JoyTaylorTalks needs to see a miracle from Dak Prescott this season.

Her comments prompted varied reactions from the NFL community, with some defending Prescott and pointing out other quarterbacks, like Jimmy Garoppolo, Brock Purdy, Jared Goff, Nick Foles, and Case Keenum, who have reached the NFC Championship game despite not being perceived as more talented than Prescott.
But Jimmy Garoppolo, Brock Purdy, Jared Goff, Nick Foles,
and Case Keenum are? https://t.co/z5oS1BPxFz— Marcus Mosher (@Marcus_Mosher) July 6, 2023
This is just stupid commentary a year after Brock Purdy got there. It’s about the team https://t.co/a2yOmvgkFU

It’s one thing to say Dak Prescott needs to fix his interceptions. It’s another to be idiotic. This is problem with the Dak Prescott commentary. Anyone think the two teams in the NFC title game next year gonna be future Hall of Famers? https://t.co/a2yOmvgkFU

Jimmy G, Brock Purdy and Case Keenum have all played in the NFC Championship since 2018.
Which of them are more talented than Dak, @JoyTaylorTalks? https://t.co/3mZ1COBV0y

If the Cowboys made it to the NFC Championship game and lost:
“Dak isn’t talented enough to get to a Super Bowl.”
We can play this game all day long with anyone. https://t.co/qg0SqKN7A8

However, it’s important to note that Prescott has been leading the Cowboys for seven seasons, and while the team has seen moderate success during his tenure, they have yet to reach the ultimate goal of a Super Bowl.
Therefore, Prescott will need to perform at a high level and demonstrate his talent on the field to validate his status as a franchise quarterback and prove Taylor’s opinions wrong.
Despite a somewhat disappointing 2022 season with interceptions overshadowing his stats, Prescott aims to rebound and guide the Dallas Cowboys to the playoffs in the upcoming 2023-2024 NFL season.
