Looks like it’s an old case of he said, she said.
Britney Spears disputes Victor Wembanyama’s account of her being slapped by his security.
Although she initially claimed to have tapped him on the shoulder, she maintains her story. Wembanyama, on the other hand, stated that she grabbed him while speaking to a reporter.
Britney insists that she never grabbed him, despite Wembanyama’s version of events.
She recounts the incident:
“I tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention, but his security backhanded me in the face without looking back, in front of the crowd.”
“I am aware the players statement where he mentions ‘I grabbed him from behind’ but I simply tapped him on the shoulder,” she said, per TMZ. “His security then backhanded me in the face without looking back, in front of the crowd. Nearly knocking me down and causing my glasses off my face.”
Britney also mentioned being swarmed by fans while trying to reach a restaurant, but her security did not engage with them. She emphasizes her dissatisfaction with Wembanyama’s demeanor during his discussion with the reporter, as he seemed to treat it as a joke.
Britney criticized him, stating, “Watching the player smile and laugh was cruel and demoralizing, considering what happened. I am 5’3″ and he’s 7’4″.”
Sources close to Britney have informed TMZ that nobody from Wembanyama’s team has apologized to her.
