During the Western Conference finals’ Game 2, Austin Reaves, a guard for Los Angeles Lakers, expressed that LeBron James should not stop shooting threes, despite the team’s 108-103 defeat against the Denver Nuggets.
According to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, Reaves said, “It’s LeBron James. I don’t think anybody bats an eye when he shoots a shot or questions his shot. We want him taking whatever he feels comfortable with just because he’s a winning basketball player for his whole career, and that’s all he wants to do: He wants to win.” James went 0-of-6 from the three-point line in Game 2, missing all three shots he took during the fourth quarter. ESPN Stats & Info reported that the 38-year-old player missed his last 19 shots during the fourth quarter, dating back to Game 2 of the first stage.
Lakers’ coach, Darvin Ham, stated that James is a highly skilled 3-point shooter and he should continue shooting, despite Thursday’s results. The Lakers recorded 26.7% shooting on 8-of-30 shots from beyond the arc, while the Nuggets went 15-of-32 on threes. Despite the Lakers leading during Game 2’s fourth quarter, their defeat was inevitable as the Nuggets’ Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Jr., and Bruce Brown all made 3-pointers.

James completed the game with 22 points, 10 assists, and nine rebounds, and the Lakers will strive to win their Saturday’s Game 3 at home -Crypto.com Arena- and sustain their unblemished postseason record.
