Former first-round NFL Draft pick and three-time Pro Bowler Robert Quinn is facing legal trouble once again after being arrested in North Charleston, South Carolina. The retired defensive end, known for his dominant years with the St. Louis Rams and Dallas Cowboys, is accused of fleeing the scene of an accident and reckless driving.
A disturbing mugshot of the 34-year-old surfaced on Friday, showing Quinn with visible injuries, including bloody cuts across his forehead, nose, mouth, and temple. The image has sparked concern and raised questions about the events leading to his arrest.
The Incident
Police responded to a local car dealership early Friday morning following reports of a collision involving a red truck. According to authorities, Quinn allegedly drove a maroon Ford F-150 registered in his name into the dealership lot, striking a Honda Element parked on the premises. The impact caused the Honda to crash into multiple other vehicles.
Surveillance footage reportedly captured Quinn’s truck swerving across an intersection and jumping a median before entering the dealership. Although the collision itself was not caught on camera, the sound of the crash alerted nearby witnesses.
The video later showed a single individual, believed to be Quinn, walking away from the scene toward a nearby gas station. Shortly thereafter, a white Dodge Challenger arrived, which police say was driven by a woman who works at a local gentleman’s club. The woman later told officers that Quinn had called her to pick him up.

Police Confrontation
When officers arrived, they found Quinn in the passenger seat of the Dodge Challenger. Reports indicate that Quinn appeared intoxicated, exhibiting slurred speech and confusion. According to the police report, he repeatedly asked, “Where is my wallet?” while holding the item in his hand.
Quinn allegedly resisted arrest, attempting to hold the vehicle’s door shut before being forcibly removed by officers and “escorted to the ground.” He was subsequently charged with leaving the scene of an accident with property damage and reckless driving.
A Troubled History
This incident is not Quinn’s first brush with the law. In August 2023, he was arrested in South Carolina after crashing into several cars and allegedly assaulting a woman during the chaotic scene. A local witness at the time described Quinn as “belligerent,” claiming he repeatedly offered to “buy new cars” for the damaged vehicles before escalating the situation by slapping her.
In 2012, during his tenure with the Rams, Quinn was arrested in Missouri on charges of driving while intoxicated.
Career Highlights and Financial Standing
Drafted in the first round out of North Carolina in 2011, Quinn enjoyed a successful 12-season NFL career, earning over $112 million in salary. He played for the Rams, Dolphins, Cowboys, Bears, and Eagles, amassing 102 career sacks and earning a reputation as one of the league’s premier pass rushers during his peak years.
Quinn’s on-field achievements, however, have been overshadowed by his off-field issues in recent years. His NFL career concluded in 2022 following a brief stint with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Fallout and Next Steps
Quinn was booked into the Charleston County jail but has since been released on bail. Authorities are continuing their investigation, and Quinn’s legal team has yet to release a statement regarding the charges.
This latest incident adds to a troubling pattern for the once-dominant defensive star, raising questions about his future and well-being post-NFL. Fans and former teammates alike are now watching closely to see how this situation unfolds and whether Quinn seeks help to address the challenges he appears to be facing.
