The men who assaulted Paul Bissonnette on November 24 at a restaurant in Arizona were reportedly involved in another altercation earlier that day, just hours before, at the nearby Raven Golf Club. The series of violent incidents paints a picture of individuals who seemed determined to wreak havoc from the start.
Footage shared on social media by Shea Stevens last week shows the six men—who had recently completed a round of golf—becoming belligerent after learning that the bar at Raven Golf Club was closing.
Allegedly fueled by anger, the men took out their frustration on an unsuspecting staff member. In the video, the group can be seen cornering the employee, shoving them against the wall, and throwing punches.
As the group unleashed a series of jabs and strikes, another Raven employee intervened in an attempt to defuse the chaotic situation. The second employee, who wished to be identified only as Carter, later spoke to the news outlet AZFamily about the incident. “I ended up with a good black eye,” the 19-year-old recounted, reflecting on the aftermath of the fight. “My jaw is still pretty sore on the left side.”
Carter also expressed confidence in identifying one of the attackers. “I’m one-hundred percent certain that the guy in the green polo who hit me in the video is the same man Scottsdale Police identified in the mugshots as Danny Bradley,” Carter said. The police had released mugshots of several suspects connected to the incidents, with Bradley being one of the main individuals implicated.
As the violent exchange at Raven continued, another staff member and more of the unruly golfers joined the brawl. The scene grew increasingly chaotic—multiple chairs were knocked over, and at least one shoe was left behind before the confrontation finally ended.
“This is exactly what went down at Houston’s [restaurant],” said Paul Bissonnette, referencing the surveillance footage from the golf club. Bissonnette—a former NHL enforcer who has since transitioned to a career in sports media—found himself at the center of the chaos later that evening when he encountered the same group of men at Houston’s restaurant.
According to Bissonnette, the men were harassing wait staff and a manager at around 7:30 p.m. local time when he decided to intervene. The situation quickly escalated into a physical altercation that spilled from inside the restaurant to the adjacent parking lot. Bissonnette, known for his grit on the ice, didn’t back down, but he later spoke about the toll the fight took on him.
“I got taken down a couple of times… got boot f–ked a couple of times [outside],” Bissonnette said in a candid account of the incident. “Luckily, I didn’t get knocked out, but I did go to the hospital.” Despite the injuries he sustained, Bissonnette made it clear that he has no regrets about stepping in to protect the restaurant staff.

Afterward, Bissonnette vowed to hold the men accountable, stating he would “ruin” the unruly golfers for their actions.
While many praised his efforts and bravery in standing up for those who were vulnerable, there were others who questioned whether he should have involved himself in a situation that had the potential to turn dangerous.
Addressing his critics during a recent episode of the “Spittin’ Chiclets” podcast, produced by Barstool Sports, Bissonnette—who also works as an NHL analyst for TNT—spoke openly about his decision to intervene. “Maybe I should have sat down and waited for my salad… [but] when I see that same f–kin’ look in those hooligans’ eyes, the same look I saw in the video of them assaulting people at the golf club, I just have to go with my intuition,” Bissonnette explained, making it clear that he felt a moral obligation to step in.
He also issued a warning to Danny Bradley and the other individuals involved, saying, “If they avoid their court date and try to keep hiding, I’m going to do anything in my f–kin’ power to smoke ‘em out.” Bissonnette’s determination to ensure that the men are held accountable for their actions is unwavering.
Scottsdale police are currently investigating the connection between the attack at Raven Golf Club and the subsequent altercation involving Bissonnette at Houston’s. Authorities are working to determine whether the same individuals are responsible for both incidents.
As the investigation continues, Paul Bissonnette’s actions that night have sparked debate—whether he acted impulsively or heroically, his willingness to stand up for others remains the focal point of a chaotic and violent series of events.
