Kirk Cousins’ wife, Julie Cousins, is feeling particularly grateful for her support system this Thanksgiving. On Thursday, November 28, Julie took to her Instagram Stories to express her appreciation for her close friends, reposting a photo originally shared by Janese Constantine, the wife of Paul Constantine, the Atlanta Falcons’ associate director of strength and conditioning.
The post featured a group picture of the Falcons players’ significant others attending their Bible study, alongside a heartfelt message from Janese.
“So thankful for these ladies! We have cried, been vulnerable, laughed a lot, and truly bonded and supported each other these last few months! WAGS BIBLE STUDY,” Janese wrote in the original post, referring to the wives and girlfriends (WAGS) of sports stars. She added a sticker of the Falcons logo, along with the words, “2 things we don’t play about: 1) God 2) our man.”
Julie echoed these sentiments in her repost, adding her own message: “Thankful for this group… you nailed it @janesconstantine.” It’s clear that the Bible study group has become a vital part of Julie’s life, providing her with companionship, emotional support, and faith-based encouragement.
This year has been a significant one for Kirk and Julie, who celebrated their 10-year wedding anniversary earlier in 2024. The couple marked the occasion by sharing a touching slideshow of photos on Instagram, highlighting their journey together over the past decade. “Today we’re celebrating 10 years of marriage. Time flies when you’re having fun!” they wrote in a joint post in June.
Kirk and Julie first met in 2012, the same year Kirk joined the NFL after being drafted by the Washington Commanders. The couple began dating, and just 18 months later, Kirk proposed in a romantic gesture on a balcony at the Capitol building. The pair tied the knot in 2014 and have been inseparable ever since.
Their journey has since expanded to include two beautiful children: their eldest son, Cooper, born in 2017, and their younger son, Turner, who arrived in 2019. Julie often shares glimpses of their family life on social media, providing followers with a window into their day-to-day adventures.

Just days before Thanksgiving, Julie posted a series of photos capturing the family enjoying Kirk’s week off during the NFL’s bye week. “Feeling grateful for an incredible bye week… Wicked, MSU, kittens, fires, and lots of love!” she captioned the carousel, which included candid moments of her and Kirk, a photo of a chilly beach day, and sweet pictures of their sons playing with their pets.
Kirk and Julie have been open about their family life, including their sons’ budding interest in football. In an interview back in July 2023, Kirk shared his hopes about his sons’ involvement in the sport. “I don’t think they quite understand it yet, but each year they take another step towards really playing a part of it, which has been fun for me,” Kirk said.
He added, “I made it a goal to play long enough before I retire that my boys could really remember it and would have enjoyed being a part of it.”
Julie also spoke about their sons’ growing enthusiasm for the game. “The boys want to watch the game now. They care about the score,” she noted, adding that she and Kirk “look forward to more years where they can continue along with us and share that passion with us.”
With a decade of marriage behind them and a loving family by their side, Kirk and Julie Cousins continue to cherish each milestone, big or small.
This Thanksgiving, Julie’s gratitude for her Bible study group serves as a reminder of the importance of community and the power of friendship during life’s ups and downs.
