Bill Belichick’s 24-year-old girlfriend took to Instagram on Friday to mark the six-month anniversary of Netflix’s famous special, “The Roast of Tom Brady.” It was a night filled with jokes, jabs, and plenty of laughs at the expense of Brady, Belichick, and many others in attendance.
“Happy 6 Month Roast-iversary ??,” Hudson wrote in her post, which featured a series of photos from the memorable evening. One of the photos showed her alongside former Patriots director of football, Berj Najarian. Hudson added, “Hopefully y’all’s burn wounds healed over … I know Bill & I are still applying bacitracin daily ??.”
Although Tom Brady was the primary target of the evening’s roasting, six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach Bill Belichick wasn’t left untouched by the comedians and former teammates. In fact, his relationship with Hudson, who is almost 50 years younger than him, was a prime subject for ridicule.
The relationship between Belichick and Hudson began to draw public attention over the summer, with many people raising their eyebrows over their significant age gap.
Belichick, 71 at the time, and Hudson, just 23, became the center of speculation and media buzz. When the Netflix roast took place, no one was willing to let that subject slide without a few sharp jabs.
Rob Gronkowski, Belichick’s former star tight end, wasted no time kicking off the night with a pointed joke.
“Coach, you used to talk about Foxborough High School when we sucked,” Gronkowski teased. “But now I know why you were so obsessed with Foxborough High School: you were scouting your new girlfriend.” The crowd erupted in laughter as Belichick took the joke in stride, smiling and shaking his head.
Later, it was Tom Brady’s turn to take the mic, and he didn’t hold back when it came to his former coach. Brady, well-known for his competitive spirit and sense of humor, took aim at Belichick’s recent love life.
“Everybody asks me which ring is my favorite. I used to say ‘the next one,’” Brady said, setting up his punchline with a sly grin. “But now that I’m retired, my favorite ring is the camera that caught Coach Belichick slinking out of that poor girl’s house a few months ago. Hey, you still got it. Respect, baby.” Brady pointed at Belichick, drawing laughter and applause from the audience.
Belichick took the jokes in good spirits, managing to laugh at the roasting and even delivering a few zingers of his own, targeting both Gronkowski and Brady during his turn with the mic.
“Gronk, I’ve been watching you on ‘Fox NFL Sunday,’ and I’m begging you, please stop doing your job,” Belichick said, eliciting laughter from the crowd. “Do another job. Do somebody else’s job.” The audience erupted as Gronkowski shook his head in mock frustration.
Belichick then turned his attention to Brady, addressing the long-debated question about who was responsible for the Patriots’ dynasty.
“For all of you out there who think about who’s responsible for the Patriots’ success during the time that Tom and I were there—Was it Brady? Was it me? Was it Brady? Was it me?” Belichick paused dramatically, letting the tension build. “In reality, the truth of the matter is, it was both of us… because of me.” The line drew laughter and cheers, as Brady gave an exaggerated thumbs-up from his seat.
The evening was a blend of heartfelt moments and brutal humor, and Hudson’s post on Instagram reminded everyone just how memorable—and scathing—the event had been.
The roasting brought out the best (and worst) of their camaraderie, highlighting the unique bond shared by the Patriots’ icons while also serving as a playful reminder of their human side.
For Jordon Hudson and Bill Belichick, the “Roast-iversary” serves as a humorous reminder of their public relationship and the spotlight that comes with it.
And while the jokes may have left some figurative scars, Hudson’s lighthearted post shows that they’re willing to take it all in stride—even if they’re still applying a little bacitracin every now and then.
