Melanie Collins had the opportunity to cover one of the most dominant NFL performances of the season on Sunday, and her presence on the sideline didn’t go unnoticed—both for her reporting and her striking fashion choice.
Collins was in Detroit for the Lions’ commanding 52-6 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. With the win, the Lions improved to a 9-1 record, maintaining their lead as the top overall seed in the NFC. Quarterback Jared Goff put on a show, throwing for 412 yards and four touchdowns, two of which found star receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown.
The Lions’ run game also delivered, with David Montgomery scoring twice and Jahmyr Gibbs adding another touchdown to cap off the dominant performance.
On Monday, Collins took to social media to share highlights from her workday, including postgame shots of her interviewing Goff on the field. Her enthusiasm for the game was clear in her caption: “Had a front row seat to 644 yards of total offense and the best offensive performance in @detroitlionsnfl history! #Week11,” Collins wrote.
However, it wasn’t just her reporting that caught fans’ attention—Collins’ outfit for the game turned plenty of heads. The Penn State alum opted for a sleek, dark blue all-denim ensemble, which sparked a wave of admiration from fans and fellow media members alike.
“LOVE this suit!! (And you!) ?,” wrote Collins’ CBS colleague Aditi Kinkhabwala in response to her post.
“This fit!!!!!!” added NFL Network’s Bridget Condon, sharing her excitement over the look.
“This SUIT and YOU!!!! ???,” chimed in broadcaster Natalie Kalibat Witten, while another commenter praised the ensemble, writing, “Oooo need this outfit link! Perfection ????.”
“Awesome photos!! Lovely outfit!!????????????,” a fifth commenter added, emphasizing how much they loved both her photos and her style.
