Taste of Taylor podcast host Taylor Strecker hasn’t held back in voicing her opinions about Taylor Swift’s friendship with Brittany Mahomes. The self-proclaimed Swiftie has sparked controversy by suggesting that Brittany, 29, isn’t “worthy” of her friendship with Swift, 34.
In an interview with Page Six published, Strecker, 41, expressed strong opinions on the dynamic between the two friends, revealing that she has been “very passionate” about analyzing their budding relationship.
Strecker elaborated on her feelings about Brittany’s place within the circle of Swift’s closest friends, saying, “I personally feel like she does not deserve it.” She clarified that her comments weren’t meant as a direct attack on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, adding that she also feels she herself is “not worthy” of a friendship with Swift.
Despite her attempt to soften her words, the sentiment sparked heated debate online.
Strecker emphasized her point by contrasting Brittany with Swift’s well-established inner circle of “fabulous queens” like Blake Lively and Sophie Turner. In Strecker’s opinion, Brittany simply does not measure up. “She just is so normal… What are you doing at a dinner with Blake Lively and Sophie Turner?” Strecker exclaimed. “It just makes me so crazy angry. I can’t even see straight.”
Taylor Swift’s friendship with Brittany Mahomes blossomed in 2023 after Swift began dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Kelce happens to be teammates with Brittany’s husband, Patrick Mahomes, the star quarterback of the Chiefs.
Over the past year, Swift and Brittany have often been seen cheering on their partners together in the stands, as well as attending various dinner outings and events side by side.

Strecker, however, didn’t stop there. She doubled down on her criticism by taking aim at Brittany’s fashion choices, joking that Brittany’s style seems to be designed to irritate her personally. “Everything she wears, it’s like she’s trying to infuriate me specifically,” Strecker quipped.
She also expressed her hope that Brittany’s style wouldn’t influence Swift’s impeccable fashion sense.
Despite her criticisms of Brittany, Strecker made it clear that she is fully supportive of Swift’s relationship with Travis Kelce. She even went as far as to say she is “100 percent” convinced that an engagement is on the horizon for the couple.
