Randi Mahomes, mother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, made her political stance very clear during Monday night’s game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Arrowhead Stadium. Randi donned a red “Make America Great Again” hat, endorsing former President Donald Trump for the 2024 presidential election.
A video posted by OutKick on X captured Randi cheering enthusiastically from a VIP suite, exclaiming, “Make America great again. Let’s do it. Woo!” The hat, paired with a matching red Chiefs sweater, signaled her vocal support for Trump’s campaign, aligning her views with those of her daughter-in-law, Brittany Mahomes.
Brittany Mahomes, wife of Patrick Mahomes, has also hinted at her support for Donald Trump. Earlier this year, Brittany subtly expressed her political leanings, which caught the attention of the media and fans. In August, the 29-year-old Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model faced backlash after allegedly “liking” one of Trump’s posts promoting his GOP campaign platform. Brittany did not shy away from responding to critics, taking to her Instagram Story to address the negative comments.
“I mean honestly … To be a hater as an adult, you have to have some deep-rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood,” Brittany wrote. “There’s no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well.”
Trump later acknowledged Brittany’s support. In September, he posted on Truth Social, expressing gratitude to her, writing, “I want to thank beautiful Brittany Mahomes for so strongly defending me, and the fact that MAGA is the greatest and most powerful Political Movement in the History of our now Failing Country.” He also praised both Brittany and Patrick, calling them a “great couple.”

While Brittany and Randi Mahomes have made their political views publicly known, Patrick Mahomes himself has opted to remain neutral in the political arena. When reporters asked him about his political beliefs, the two-time Super Bowl champion made it clear that he does not wish to use his platform to endorse any particular candidate.
“I’ve always said, I don’t want my place and my platform to be used to endorse a candidate or do whatever, either way,” Patrick stated during a press conference in September.
He emphasized his commitment to encouraging people to get informed and participate in the democratic process. “I think my place is to inform people to get registered to vote,” he said. “It’s to inform people to do their own research and then make the best decision for them and their family.”
Patrick added that political affiliations do not play a role in his personal relationships. “Whenever I’m hanging out with whoever, I’m not thinking about their political views or anything like that,” he said, emphasizing that he prefers to keep politics separate from his interactions with friends and family.
The contrasting approaches within the Mahomes family illustrate how public figures can navigate political expression differently. While Randi and Brittany have openly endorsed Trump, Patrick remains focused on using his influence to promote voter participation rather than any specific political agenda.
The dynamic has garnered public attention, adding another layer of interest to the lives of the Mahomes family as they navigate the intersection of sports, fame, and politics.
