Bill Belichick has quickly jumped into the defense of his 23-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, amid a public spat with Boston radio host Winnie Akoury, who questioned Hudson’s cheerleading credentials. The dispute began when Akoury mocked Hudson’s national cheerleading title, downplaying it as “just Division III” and suggesting it wasn’t challenging.
Akoury added that she could have been a cheerleader at Bridgewater State herself, a comment that didn’t sit well with Hudson.
Hudson fired back on social media with a sharp retort, telling Akoury to “Kiss my… National Championship ring.” But she didn’t stop there. She also rallied her high-profile boyfriend, Bill Belichick, for support.
Hudson posted a photo of Belichick proudly wearing a Bridgewater State Bears shirt on her Instagram story, tagging him and the university’s cheerleading team with the caption, “@billbelichick is on team @bsu_cheerleading” and adding hashtags like “#DontPokeTheBearS” and “#DemandingRespect.”
Akoury later responded, sharing the image of Belichick and acknowledging his support, writing, “I love that he’s a supportive boyfriend, def giving green flag vibes.”
Hudson’s loyalty to her alma mater goes deep; she even uploaded another post proudly displaying her championship ring, which quickly garnered likes, including from Belichick himself.
Hudson’s achievements extend beyond cheerleading. Earlier this year, she competed in the Miss Maine USA pageant and finished as the first runner-up. She and Belichick, whose 49-year age gap caused waves when their relationship became public in June, first met on a flight from Boston to Florida in 2021.
Their connection developed over time, and since then, Hudson has become a significant presence in his life.
Belichick, a six-time Super Bowl champion with the New England Patriots, stepped away from coaching after last season. Since then, he’s explored sports media, with guest appearances on shows like The Pat McAfee Show and Manningcast.
While rumors circulated linking him to coaching positions, including with the Atlanta Falcons, he wasn’t offered a job. However, sources say Belichick still harbors ambitions of returning to the NFL as a head coach.
For now, Belichick seems content to support Hudson’s pursuits, both personally and publicly. The couple’s recent public display has highlighted his loyalty to her, even outside the world of professional football.
