Anthony Edwards’ girlfriend, Shannon Jackson, addressed recent speculation surrounding the NBA star’s alleged newborn with Ayesha Howard. Speaking candidly on Instagram Live, Jackson dismissed the drama with a series of bold statements, showcasing her confidence and apparent indifference to the online chatter.
“They say I’m one of God’s strongest soldiers… y’all just finding out,” Jackson remarked during her Instagram Live session on Wednesday, according to a clip shared by The Neighborhood Talk. She poked fun at the “fake outrage” from the public, saying, “Oh my God! Pull your panties out of your bunch.”
Jackson, who shares a 7-month-old daughter, Aislynn, with Edwards, clarified that this would be the “most” she would say on the subject, expressing a no-nonsense attitude with, “F–k wrong with y’all? I’m hard body, baby.” She even went a step further, challenging viewers to share a screenshot of their bank accounts to compare with hers, emphasizing her self-assured stance amidst the rumors.
Following her Instagram Live, Jackson took to her Instagram Story, posting a photo of Aislynn with the note that her “phone died,” and hinting that she might go live again “maybe in a month.”
Jackson’s comments come on the heels of recent legal actions by Edwards. According to court documents, Edwards filed for paternity and child support for a baby with Howard in September, requesting genetic testing for himself, Howard, and the child. A status hearing for the case is scheduled for November 13.
Meanwhile, Howard confirmed on Instagram that she recently welcomed a baby girl on October 14, sharing a maternity photo series with the caption, “Golden girls 10/14.” Howard is also the mother of a 9-year-old son, Jason, whom she shares with rapper Lil Baby.
Edwards, 23, reportedly has two other children, a 1-year-old daughter, Aris, with Daja, and a 1-year-old son, Amir, with a woman named Ally D, though he has yet to publicly confirm his paternity for either child.
As for Jackson, her recent responses make it clear she’s unfazed by the speculation, prioritizing her own life and daughter amidst the media attention.
