Nicholas Alexander Chavez, co-star of the upcoming show Grotesquerie, couldn’t contain his admiration for NFL star Travis Kelce, who made his acting debut on the series. Chavez, known for his role on General Hospital, shared that he was “honestly blown away” by Kelce’s performance, especially considering it was his first foray into the world of acting.
“He’s so charming, so charismatic, and incredibly down to earth,” Chavez said of Kelce to Variety. “You can absolutely tell that he’s a professional athlete, not just because of his physicality, but because he brings that same team-oriented mindset to the set. He came in super collaborative, always willing to work together with the cast and crew. He performs with such confidence, and I was genuinely surprised to learn it was his acting debut.”
Kelce’s performance has clearly left a lasting impression on his co-stars, with Chavez highlighting how seamlessly the Kansas City Chiefs tight end transitioned from the football field to the stage.
“He’s got that natural presence that makes you want to watch him, whether he’s playing football or delivering lines on set,” Chavez continued. “He brought the same energy and focus to acting that he does in sports, and it showed in his performance.”

Despite his lack of acting experience, Kelce’s charisma and professionalism helped him stand out. According to Chavez, Kelce approached the project with the same drive and dedication that’s made him a star on the football field. “He wasn’t just there to learn; he was there to elevate everyone around him. That’s what makes him such a great teammate, whether it’s on the field or in front of the camera.”
Kelce’s performance in Grotesquerie is eagerly anticipated, and if Chavez’s words are any indication, the NFL star’s debut could be the start of an exciting new chapter in his career.
