Colorado has been synonymous with thrilling, high-stakes football over the past two college football seasons, and Saturday night was no exception.
In a tense overtime battle at Folsom Field in Boulder, the Buffaloes were clinging to a 38-31 lead over Baylor. The Bears, however, were in prime position to score with a 1st-and-goal on the 1-yard line. A touchdown would have either tied the game or given Baylor the win, but Colorado’s two-way sensation, Travis Hunter, had other plans.
As Baylor running back Dominic Richardson powered toward the end zone, Hunter stood as the last line of defense. In a dramatic collision at the goal line, Richardson appeared to break through—only to fumble the ball after a crushing hit from Hunter.
The turnover sealed Colorado’s victory, capping off an incredible night of high drama.

The closing moments of the game felt like a scene ripped straight out of a Hollywood sports film, with Hunter in the starring role.
All season long, he’s been the heart of Colorado’s success, and Saturday was no different. In addition to forcing the game-winning fumble, Hunter dominated on offense, leading the team with 130 receiving yards on 7 catches.
While Hunter shined brightest, quarterback Shedeur Sanders and wide receiver LaJohntay Wester played pivotal roles. The pair connected on a game-tying Hail Mary that sent the game into overtime, setting the stage for the final heroics.
With this win, Colorado improved to 3-1 on the season. Next up, they’ll face the undefeated UCF Knights in what promises to be another must-watch showdown.
