It’s officially football season, and Taylor Swift was front and center once again, showing her support for the Kansas City Chiefs alongside her brother Austin at Sunday’s thrilling game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The “Midnight Rain” singer shared a heartwarming moment with her brother, celebrating a pivotal Chiefs touchdown. When wide receiver Rashee Rice caught a long pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes and sprinted into the end zone, tying the score at 10, Swift and her brother couldn’t contain their excitement. She wrapped her arms around Austin, and the two jumped in elation, their enthusiasm contagious.
Taylor was spotted in the Kelce family suite, surrounded by familiar faces, including Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s parents, her own mother Andrea Swift, and close friend Danielle Haim. Swift, 34, cheered exuberantly, exchanging high-fives and reveling in the moment. At one point, she appeared overwhelmed by the intensity of the game, placing her hands over her face in disbelief after the epic play.
For the occasion, Swift embraced the team spirit, sporting a vintage Chiefs jersey styled as a dress, paired with chic black leather over-the-knee boots. Her look was a mix of casual football fan and pop superstar, perfectly capturing her unique flair.
Sunday marked Swift’s 15th appearance at a Chiefs game since she started dating Travis Kelce last summer. Despite some backlash from NFL fans over her frequent screen time during broadcasts, Swift remains focused on supporting her boyfriend.
In a recent interview with Time magazine, she explained her approach to balancing a public relationship with her love for attending games.
“I’m just there to support Travis,” Swift said. “I have no idea how often I’m shown on TV, and honestly, it doesn’t matter. When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, and we don’t care who else is watching.”
She continued, “The opposite of that is going to extreme lengths to hide a relationship, and that’s just not who we are. We’re proud of each other, and that’s enough.”
Swift has embraced her role as a supportive partner, often seen enthusiastically celebrating Kelce’s big plays from the stands. Just two weeks ago, the “Lover” singer was spotted sharing a sweet moment with Kelce’s mother, Donna, blushing and hugging her after Travis completed his first pass of the season.
Later in the same game, Swift even gave fans a special treat, performing a snippet of choreography from her Eras Tour song “So High School,” which many believe is inspired by her relationship with Kelce.
As the Chiefs continue their season, Swift’s presence at the games has become a welcome tradition, blending her superstar status with a genuine love for football and her relationship with Kelce.
