Hulk Hogan is voicing serious concerns about the upcoming fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson, fearing that the YouTuber-turned-boxer might overpower the legendary heavyweight. The 71-year-old WWE icon appeared on Logan Paul’s “Impaulsive” podcast last week, where he candidly expressed his worries about the bout scheduled for November.
Hogan, who has seen his fair share of intense physical battles throughout his career, told Logan that he’s genuinely concerned about the damage Jake Paul could inflict on Tyson in the ring.
“Your brother is too strong,” Hogan said of Jake. “As soon as I saw him throw that left to set up the overhand right, I thought, ‘Oh, my God.’ It was scary. I love Mike to death. I don’t want Jake to kill Mike. Jesus.”
Tyson and Jake Paul were originally slated to face off in July on a Netflix special, but the match was postponed to November 15 after Tyson suffered a medical emergency while on a flight. Despite the delay, the excitement and concern surrounding the fight have only grown.
Tyson, who has had a resurgence in popularity with his return to exhibition boxing, spoke to Esquire earlier this year about why he’s still willing to step into the ring at his age. He admitted that the allure of fame and glory continues to drive him, even as he approaches 60.

“I’m a glory junkie. I love people thinking about me all day,” Tyson explained. “I’d rather live a short life of glory than a long life of obscurity. It’s just who I am.”
Reflecting on his fighting career and his relentless pursuit of status, Tyson added, “This is all I started fighting for – to get all this f–king status. I’m going to be chasing it for the rest of my life. I know that. I’m never going to get what I want because I’m one of those gluttons for pain. I can never get enough.”
On the other side of the ring, Jake Paul, known for his brash personality and rapid rise in the boxing world, also has strong motivations for taking on a legend like Tyson. In an interview with The Post earlier this summer, Paul admitted that he’s fully aware of the risks but thrives on challenges.
“I just want to take a risk,” Paul said. “I think I am crazy for this; I definitely am because I don’t think anyone would take the risk in this position, but that’s just what makes me different. I’m not slowing down for anyone, and I want to stay active in the gym.”
Acknowledging the potential danger, Paul didn’t shy away from the reality of facing one of boxing’s most feared knockout artists. “He’s Mike Tyson at the end of the day. He has lethal knockout power and is very, very experienced. I think it is going to be a brawl regardless.”
Despite the concerns from Hogan and the looming uncertainty of the fight, both Tyson and Paul seem determined to go forward. The clash of generations and styles has created a buzz, with fans eagerly awaiting the showdown. For Tyson, it’s another opportunity to bask in the limelight, while for Paul, it’s a chance to further prove himself against one of the greatest fighters in history.
As the November date approaches, the anticipation continues to build, along with Hogan’s concerns that Jake Paul’s power could be too much for the aging Tyson.
Whether the fight lives up to its hype or becomes another chapter in boxing’s long history of spectacle, one thing is for certain: all eyes will be on Tyson and Paul when they step into the ring.
