Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love suffered a concerning leg injury in the final moments of the team’s Friday night showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles at Corinthians Arena in São Paulo, Brazil.
With under 30 seconds remaining, and the Packers trailing 34-29, Green Bay had one last shot to pull off a comeback. On the first play of the drive, Love delivered a 33-yard strike to wide receiver Jayden Reed, pushing the Packers to the Eagles’ 49-yard line and giving the team a glimmer of hope. However, disaster struck on the next play.
As Love attempted to make another play, the Eagles’ defense collapsed around him. Defensive tackle Jalen Carter grabbed hold of Love’s left leg, while defensive end Josh Sweat closed in from the other side. Love tried to get rid of the ball, shoveling it to running back Josh Jacobs, but the hit came too fast. The Packers quarterback was sandwiched between the two Eagles defenders, with his left leg awkwardly pinned beneath him as he was driven to the turf.

Love remained on the ground for several minutes, with trainers and teammates surrounding him in concern. After what felt like an eternity, he was finally able to get to his feet and walk off the field under his own power, although the Packers’ sideline remained visibly anxious about his condition.
In Love’s absence, backup quarterback Malik Willis came in to finish the game but was unable to mount a game-winning drive. With no timeouts left and the clock ticking down, Willis couldn’t complete a pass, sealing the Eagles’ 34-29 victory.
Before his injury, Love put up a solid performance, going 17-for-34 for 260 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.
Packers fans now anxiously await updates on their starting quarterback’s health, hoping that the injury isn’t as serious as it initially appeared.
