A Florida State fan recently discovered the hard truth that the internet never forgets—and never lets you off the hook. The drama began on X (formerly Twitter), where an FSU supporter, known by the username “@321nole,” boldly declared his unwavering confidence in the Seminoles’ victory over Boston College.
So sure was he of the win that he made an outrageous promise: if Florida State lost, he would eat dog poop out of a red Solo cup using a spoon, and share the video proof online. “If Florida State loses to BC this weekend,” he wrote, “I will eat dog s–t out of a red Solo cup with a spoon and post a video of me doing it. Book it!”
Unfortunately for the FSU fan, Boston College dominated the game from start to finish, crushing Florida State with a decisive 28-13 victory.
The humiliating loss left the fan in an unenviable position. Rather than face the music, the Seminoles supporter promptly deleted all his social media accounts in an attempt to escape the consequences of his bold wager. However, this did little to stop the internet’s relentless pursuit.

Fans on X began a coordinated effort to track down the now-vanished user, demanding that he make good on his bet. The incident quickly gained traction, with people across the platform mocking him for backing out of his promise.
The situation escalated to the point where it caught the attention of mainstream media, including ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt, who playfully called out the fan during a post-game segment.
While the fan is now facing widespread ridicule for his hasty retreat from social media, he isn’t the only one feeling the heat. Much of the blame for the embarrassing scenario has been directed at Florida State quarterback DJ Uiagalelei, whose underwhelming performance was a major factor in the team’s loss. Uiagalelei completed just 21 of 42 passes for 275 yards, with only one touchdown and one interception.
Disappointed FSU fans didn’t hold back in their criticism of the quarterback, adding to the overall frustration surrounding the game.
In the end, this Florida State fan’s over-the-top confidence—and the internet’s memory—turned what might have been a forgettable loss into an unforgettable lesson in why some bets are better left unmade.
