As she had eagerly anticipated for weeks, popular golf influencer Paige Spiranac made her return to competitive play this week at the PGA Tour’s Creator Classic, held at the prestigious East Lake Golf Club.
Earlier in the month, Spiranac teased her fans with a video detailing her preparations for what she described as “a big competitive golf event.” The mystery event was revealed to be the Creator Classic, which she showcased on her YouTube channel on Friday.
In the video description, Spiranac admitted to feeling a mix of excitement and nerves leading up to the competition. “If you follow me elsewhere, you know I was EXTREMELY nervous to play in the PGA Tour’s Creator Classic at East Lake Golf Club,” she wrote. “But I did it! Plus, I had fun! If you didn’t catch it live or want all the behind-the-scenes, you’ll definitely want to watch this one.”
The Creator Classic was a unique event that brought together 16 of YouTube’s most prominent golf influencers to compete against each other. The format consisted of eight holes of stroke play, with the top four finishers advancing to a sudden-death playoff on a single hole. The event was further enhanced by on-course commentary from Joel Dahmen, known for his appearances on the show “Full Swing.”
PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan praised the event, noting its success both among fans and participants. “The response from fans and from the content creators themselves has been overwhelming,” Monahan said, highlighting the growing intersection between traditional golf and digital media.
In the end, Luke Kwon emerged as the champion, triumphing over Wesley Bryan, Roger Steele, and Sean Walsh in the playoff. Bryan, who had the lowest score after the initial eight holes at two-under par, was a strong contender throughout the day. Spiranac, despite her nerves, finished a respectable ninth place with a score of two-over par, showcasing her skill and determination. On the other hand, Dude Perfect’s Tyler Toney struggled, posting the highest score of the day at 10-over par.

Reflecting on her performance, Spiranac expressed satisfaction with her return to competition, despite a few hiccups along the way. “All in all, it was a fantastic day,” she said. “The nerves were there. It’s fun to test yourself on a championship golf course with great competition.”
Spiranac was particularly pleased with her driving game, which she noted was often a source of stress in competitive settings. “I had it going, and just a couple bad wedge shots and a couple bad breaks with just where it hits, but I think if I played this course more and had more course knowledge, then I really could have given it a go today,” she explained. “Because drives were awesome and normally in competition, that’s the first thing that goes for me. I’m like, all over the place. So for me to just consistently hit all these drives great was like, massive for me.”
The Creator Classic marked an important milestone for Spiranac as she returned to the competitive arena, and her fans are eager to see what’s next for the golf influencer as she continues to blend her love for the game with her engaging online presence.
