Caitlin Clark and Connor McCaffery have been a power couple since their days at the University of Iowa. While Clark was making headlines as the biggest star in women’s college basketball, McCaffery was contributing to the success of the Iowa men’s basketball team, helping his father, Coach Fran McCaffery, lead the team to a Big Ten Tournament championship in 2022 and four NCAA Tournament appearances.
Now, with college behind them, both are pursuing their respective careers. McCaffery is starting his journey in coaching, while Clark is making waves in the WNBA during her historic rookie season. Despite their busy schedules, the couple still finds time to be together. Recently, they even managed to take a vacation with some of Clark’s teammates and their significant others during the WNBA’s month-long break.
While Clark tends to keep her political views and social opinions private, McCaffery is more vocal about where he stands. He has been open about his support for Vice President Kamala Harris, who is the Democratic nominee in the upcoming 2024 presidential election. On several occasions, McCaffery has made it clear how he plans to vote, showing his support for Harris through posts on his social media.
On Tuesday night, McCaffery tuned in to the second night of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, where former First Lady Michelle Obama was one of the evening’s featured speakers. Evidently a fan of Obama, McCaffery shared a photo of her speaking on television, accompanied by a heart emoji, on his Instagram story. This was just one of several messages he has posted recently, expressing his political preferences.

As the election approaches on November 5, it’s likely that McCaffery will continue to share his support for Harris and his thoughts on the political landscape.
Harris, running against Republican nominee and former President Donald Trump, has McCaffery’s backing as he stays engaged in the political conversation leading up to the crucial vote.
Clark and McCaffery, while both deeply involved in their respective careers, also show that they are committed to their beliefs and to each other, balancing their professional and personal lives with a shared dedication to what matters most to them.
