Just a day after her standout performance against the Phoenix Mercury at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark was spotted taking in a different kind of game, this time at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Clark, accompanied by her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, attended the Indianapolis Colts’ preseason matchup against the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday, August 16.
The couple, who were seen sitting in a luxury box, quickly became the center of attention, as fans were thrilled to see the rising basketball star supporting the local NFL team.
Connor McCaffery, who works as an assistant for the Indiana Pacers, joined Clark for the outing, further solidifying their connection to Indiana’s sports scene. Despite Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson and several starters sitting out the game, Clark’s presence was enough to excite fans, with many taking to social media to express their admiration. One fan on X (formerly Twitter) shared, “She said Indy is mine now,” while another quipped, “Is she ever not playing/watching sports??”

Clark’s appearance at the Colts game comes on the heels of a busy week of sports-related activities. After enjoying a brief vacation in Mexico—her first real break from basketball in over a year—Clark and McCaffery visited Yankee Stadium, where they attended a baseball game and even had the opportunity to meet Yankees captain Aaron Judge and other star players. Reflecting on the experience, Clark told reporters, “I was honestly just in New York for something I had to do. Never been to a Yankees game before, so I was like why not? … It was a lot of fun, honestly.”
Despite her whirlwind schedule, Clark remains laser-focused on her basketball career and her commitment to local teams. Her dedication was on full display during the Fever’s first game back from the Olympic break on August 15, where she delivered a stellar performance against the Phoenix Mercury. Clark led her team with 29 points, 10 assists, and 5 rebounds, helping the Fever secure a nail-biting 98-99 victory. Her impressive play has not only made her a fan favorite but also a strong contender for the WNBA’s Rookie of the Year award.
Clark is also on the verge of breaking a significant WNBA record. With just three more assists, she will surpass Ticha Penicheiro’s rookie season record of 225 assists, set in 1998. Given that Clark has already tallied 29 assists over the past two games, it seems inevitable that she will shatter the record when the Fever host the Seattle Storm on Sunday, August 18.
As the Fever (12-15) continue their push toward the playoffs, currently sitting in seventh place with 13 regular-season games remaining, all eyes will be on Caitlin Clark. Whether on the court or supporting her fellow athletes from the stands, Clark has quickly become one of the most prominent sports figures not just in Indiana, but across the nation.
