The 2024 Paris Olympic Games may have come to a close, but LeBron James is still soaking up the European vibes. After a successful Olympic run, where he averaged 14.2 points on an impressive 66% field-goal shooting, along with 6.8 rebounds, 8.5 assists, and 1.3 steals over six games, the Los Angeles Lakers star decided to unwind in style by attending one of the most talked-about concert events of the summer.
James was spotted on Wednesday, August 14, at singer Adele’s new German residency, “Adele In Munich.” The evening took an unexpected turn when a thunderstorm rolled in, but as Adele’s fiancé, sports agent Rich Paul, famously said, “the show must go on.” And go on it did, with Adele delivering powerful performances of iconic hits like “Skyfall,” from the 2012 James Bond film, and “Set Fire to the Rain” from her 2011 album “21.”
As the rain poured down, it became clear that “Set Fire to the Rain” might just be James’ favorite Adele song. The basketball legend was captured on video fully embracing the stormy weather, dancing with an umbrella in one hand and a drink in the other.
In true LeBron fashion, he alternated between playfully bouncing the umbrella and his drink to the beat of Adele’s soulful performance, much to the delight of those around him.

The night wasn’t just memorable for James, though. Adele herself had a moment when she was forced to swap her high heels for sneakers due to the wet conditions. In a humorous twist, her sneakers came undone, and when help didn’t arrive quickly enough, she took matters into her own hands, tying the laces herself on stage. Always the performer, Adele then playfully twerked in front of the massive audience of 80,000, showing that nothing could dampen her spirits—or the show.
LeBron’s appreciation for Adele isn’t new. Back in October 2023, he attended her “Weekends With Adele” residency in Las Vegas and shared his admiration for the singer on social media, describing her as “a striking bolt of light.” Little did anyone know at the time how fitting that description would become, as James found himself dancing in the rain to her music less than a year later.
The eventful night at “Adele In Munich” was a perfect example of how LeBron James knows how to have a good time, whether he’s on the basketball court or enjoying a concert.
His joyful dance moves, combined with Adele’s powerful performance and lighthearted stage antics, made for an unforgettable evening that fans of both the NBA star and the British songstress won’t soon forget.
