Simone Biles knows how to celebrate in style! After solidifying her status as the most decorated gymnast in history, Biles treated herself to an extravagant shopping spree in Paris, picking up a luxurious new Hermès handbag to mark the occasion.
The 27-year-old, who recently competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics, gave her Instagram followers a glimpse into her indulgent purchase. On Friday, Biles shared a series of photos on her Instagram Story, starting with a shot from inside a Hermès store in Paris.
The image featured a shelf brimming with Birkin bags and Kelly purses in an array of neutral shades, crafted from exotic leathers such as ostrich and alligator—some of which can fetch six-figure price tags depending on the material and size.
In another photo, Biles offered a sneak peek into the exclusive private back room of Hermès, where she finalized her purchase. Though she didn’t reveal the exact bag she chose, the iconic orange box gave it away. Biles added heart-eyed and crying-face emojis to the post, clearly thrilled with her new acquisition, leaving fans eagerly guessing which of the high-end bags she picked out.

Earlier that same day, Biles took to Instagram to show off a sleek and intricate updo, a chic look that stood in contrast to the loose hairstyle she sported during the artistic gymnastics women’s qualification event—a style that drew criticism from some online trolls. Addressing the negative comments, Biles had previously fired back with a message defending her hair choice, explaining that the lack of air conditioning on the bus and the sweltering heat had taken a toll on her look. “Next time you wanna comment on a black girl’s hair, JUST DON’T,” she had urged her critics in a pointed social media post.

But that wasn’t the only time Biles had to confront her detractors during the Olympics.
She also defended her husband, NFL player Jonathan Owens, who was criticized for wearing one of her Olympic gold medals. Biles swiftly shut down the trolls, explaining that she had shared her medals with all her family members, allowing them to experience a piece of her monumental achievement. “Don’t ever make assumptions,” she retorted, emphasizing the importance of sharing her success with those she loves.
Biles has plenty to celebrate, having secured three gold medals at the Paris Olympics—adding to her wins in the women’s artistic individual all-around, women’s artistic team all-around, and women’s vault competitions. She also claimed a bronze medal for her floor routine, bringing her total Olympic medal count to 11, a tie with the late Czechoslovakian gymnast V?ra ?áslavská. However, Biles still has a way to go to surpass the Soviet Union’s Larisa Latynina, who holds the record with 18 Olympic medals.
Nevertheless, with 11 Olympic medals and a staggering 30 World Championship medals, Biles has cemented her place as the most decorated gymnast of all time. And what better way to honor that unparalleled achievement than with a little luxury in the City of Light?
