Did Cristiano Ronald tie the knot?
The soccer superstar sparked speculation when he referred to his longtime girlfriend, Georgina Rodríguez, as his “wife” during a recent home workout video for the fitness brand Whoop.
In the Instagram clip shared on Monday, Ronaldo said, “Most important thing is, it’s not what you do, it’s you have to do. When I’m not training in the club, I like to work with my wife at home. I can push her and she can push me, too.”
This unexpected term of endearment led fans to flood the comments section, questioning if Ronaldo, 39, and Rodríguez, 30, had secretly tied the knot.
Comments came flying in:
“Did he say ‘my wife’? Are they now secretly married? ?,” wrote one user.
“When did you get married with her, calling her ‘my wife’? ?,” asked another.
“Wife?? ?,” commented a third user.
“He said ‘my wife’ olalaaa ???,” said a fourth person.

Page Six reached out to Ronaldo’s representative for clarification but did not receive an immediate response. However, the Portuguese athlete’s publicist told People, “At this time, I have no knowledge of whether or not Cristiano is married to Georgina.”
Ronaldo and Rodríguez’s relationship began in 2017 after they met at the Gucci store where she worked.
The couple has since built a blended family together. Ronaldo is father to son Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., 13, with an unknown woman, and twins Eva and Mateo, 7, via surrogacy. Together with Rodríguez, he also shares daughters Alana, 6, and Bella, 2.
Their family faced a heartbreaking tragedy in 2022 when Bella’s twin brother died during childbirth. Rodríguez opened up about the devastating loss for the first time last March on her Netflix docuseries, “I Am Georgina.”
“My priority right now is my family and my children. I’m so happy and so thankful,” she said in Season 2 of the series. “Life goes on. I have reasons to move on and be strong.”
Despite the speculation, it remains unclear if Ronaldo and Rodríguez have officially wed. However, Ronaldo’s affectionate reference to Rodríguez as his “wife” has certainly fueled rumors and left fans eagerly awaiting confirmation of their marital status.
