There is growing skepticism about whether Donald Trump was actually hit by a bullet, with former ESPN host Keith Olbermann being the latest to voice his doubts.
Initially, TMZ reported that a well-placed source with access to Secret Service information said Trump was struck by pieces of glass that had shattered during the gunfire.
However, this narrative changed almost immediately when the official report claimed that Trump had been grazed in the ear by an errant bullet.
According to the revised account, Trump narrowly escaped a fatal injury by turning his head at the last moment.
Keith Olbermann took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express his skepticism, stating, “In brief: Ronny Jackson isn’t a doctor. Which is perfect, because Trump wasn’t hit by a bullet.” Olbermann’s comment refers to a story suggesting that Ronny Jackson, now a Congressman, does not have a current medical license.

Jackson, who evaluated Trump on Saturday, asserted that Trump was hit by a bullet in the right ear by Thomas Crooks’ high-powered rifle.
According to Jackson, the bullet caused a 2-centimeter-wide gash extending down to the cartilage surface of the ear. He described significant initial bleeding followed by marked swelling of the entire upper ear. Jackson noted that the swelling had since subsided and the wound was beginning to heal properly, adding that no sutures were required due to the broad and blunt nature of the wound.
The controversy surrounding whether Trump was hit by a bullet or glass remains relevant, but it does not diminish the fact that he was the target of an assassination attempt.
The incident has sparked debate and speculation, but the critical point is the clear and present danger that Trump faced during the attack.
As more information emerges, the narrative may continue to evolve, but the incident underscores the serious nature of the threat and the ongoing security concerns surrounding public figures.
