Travis Kelce is getting into the groove to Taylor Swift’s tunes!
On Friday, July 12, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34, participated in the 2024 American Century Championship, a celebrity charity tournament held at the Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course.
While preparing to tee off at the 17th hole, Travis showed some love to his girlfriend, also 34, by dancing along to her song “Lavender Haze.”
The NFL star, playing alongside his brother Jason Kelce, WWE star Mike “The Miz” Mizanin, and others, was captured in two videos posted on X (formerly Twitter) by NBC Sports Bay Area & CA. In these clips, Travis is seen dancing and mouthing the words to the track as it played over the loudspeakers.
In one clip, Travis stood next to his brother Jason, 36, in front of a packed crowd. As Swift’s song from her 2022 album “Midnights” played, Travis bopped his head and moved his arm to the beat, even singing along to the lyrics.
Another video showed Travis walking up to take his shot at the 17th hole. As “Lavender Haze” continued to play, he moved his head and arm to the music before taking his shot right as the chorus played.

Travis’ appreciation for Swift’s music was reciprocated earlier in the day when the singer liked two Instagram posts declaring him the top tight end in the NFL. ESPN’s annual survey of the top 10 players in 11 different NFL positions ranked Travis as the No. 1 tight end, a post shared on ESPN NFL’s Instagram page. Swift also liked a post from the Kansas City Chiefs celebrating his achievement.
Meanwhile, Travis had an eventful day on the golf course. At one point, he accidentally hit a woman in her 20s in the back of the head with a golf ball.
Paramedics quickly attended to her, and an eyewitness noted visible streaks of blood in her blonde hair. She was assisted while sitting on the ground but was able to stand shortly after. Both Travis and Jason checked in on her after the incident, with Travis making a lengthy walk down the course to ensure she was alright, joking that taking a photo with her was the least he could do. The woman was helped off the course by paramedics, and the tournament resumed.
Travis and Jason were joined by their father, Ed Kelce, and Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce, at this year’s tournament. The event also featured sports stars such as Aaron Rodgers, Josh Allen, Derek Carr, Baker Mayfield, Trevor Lawrence, Joe Flacco, and Kyle Juszczyk, as well as celebrities like Don Cheadle, Michael Peña, Rob McElhenney, and Miles Teller.
The night before, Travis had shown Swift some love by giving her a shoutout after winning a karaoke competition on Thursday, July 11. In a video shared on X, Travis was seen saying, “Taylor, this is for you,” as he accepted his award.
The 2024 American Century Championship, presented by American Century Investments, will continue through Sunday, July 14, and will be broadcast on NBC, Peacock, and the Golf Channel.
