Fans at the American Century Championship made every effort to catch the attention of Jason Kelce, including one who made an unusual request: to sign his baby.
The former Philadelphia Eagles center, after acquiring a pen, obliged by autographing the infant’s shirt at the Edgewood Tahoe golf course, much to the delight of the crowd.
When asked if he was outperforming his brother, Travis Kelce, Jason humorously responded, “Man, I am the opposite of beating him—I’m beating myself.”
The Kelce brothers were a lively presence on the Lake Tahoe golf course, with their antics drawing significant attention. However, some of their wayward shots also brought unexpected excitement to the spectators.
One particularly errant shot by Travis Kelce had serious consequences. While on the 16th hole, Travis’s drive struck a young woman in her 20s in the back of her head, causing her to bleed. According to witnesses, streaks of blood were visible in her blonde hair. Travis promptly checked on her condition and later joked that taking a picture with her was the least he could do. Paramedics arrived quickly to treat the woman, who, after several minutes on the ground, was eventually able to stand.

Earlier in the round, Travis’s wayward shot also struck a man in the crowd. A video posted on Twitter shows Kelce marching down the course with a police officer, seeking out the fan who had been hit.
Upon finding the man, Kelce shook his hand and then, in a light-hearted gesture, kissed the man’s arm, eliciting laughs and cheers from the surrounding spectators.
Throughout the event, the Kelce brothers showcased their charisma and ability to connect with fans, even in the midst of mishaps. Jason’s interaction with the baby and Travis’s humorous yet sincere apologies demonstrated their down-to-earth personalities.
Despite the mishaps, the Kelce brothers left a lasting impression on the fans at the American Century Championship, blending competitive spirit with genuine fan engagement.
