Shohei Ohtani is making significant changes just months after purchasing an expensive home in Los Angeles.
In December, the Japanese baseball star signed with the Dodgers, marking a new chapter in his MLB career after playing exclusively with the Angels in Anaheim. In May, it was revealed that Ohtani had bought a luxurious modern home in La Cañada Flintridge, California, for $7.85 million. This property previously belonged to comedian and entertainer Adam Carolla.
However, the extensive public information about the home made it easy for fans to discover its location and appearance. Additionally, Ohtani reportedly felt uncomfortable when some Japanese media outlets crossed boundaries by filming near his home and interviewing his neighbors.

As a result, a report from a Japanese news outlet indicates that Ohtani plans to sell the home, feeling that his privacy was compromised.
According to the report, Ohtani expressed that he could no longer reside in the mansion, which is valued at approximately 1.2 billion yen, and intends to sell it without ever moving in. The report further states that Ohtani has not yet occupied the residence.
La Cañada Flintridge, located about 10 miles north of Dodger Stadium, offers a convenient living location for Dodgers personnel due to minimal traffic compared to other areas in Los Angeles.
However, based on this report, Ohtani might never experience the commute from this home to the stadium.
