Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott made headlines on the Fourth of July when a photo of him wearing a walking boot surfaced on social media, causing fans to panic about his status for the 2024 season.
However, Prescott is trending again this week, but for a far more positive reason. Prescott was recently a guest at teammate Tyron Smith’s wedding, where a brief video captured him transitioning from quarterback to dancer in record time.
The video, shared on TikTok by Dallas photographer GThomasPhotos, has already amassed over 100,000 views.

Judging by Prescott’s energetic dance moves, it appears his ankle injury has healed well. Prescott himself has reassured fans about his health, explaining the walking boot incident at his football camp. “Honestly, I’m getting older. It was the same ankle that I snapped and had a nasty surgery on four years ago, so yeah, a couple hard days of training, you get a little sore,” Prescott said. “Then, you’re going on a fishing trip, and you want to protect it and make sure things don’t get worse. Literally, it is absolutely nothing. People are reaching, trying to make things that they aren’t. I’m getting older, have to take care of my body. I have to be smart, and if I can take precautions and lessen something by putting on a boot, I’m going to do it. Sorry that I caused such a whirlwind.”
Prescott’s lighthearted moment at the wedding and his subsequent reassurance about his ankle suggest that he is ready for the upcoming season.
His health will be crucial not only for the Cowboys’ success but also for his financial future. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, if Prescott remains healthy and performs well, he could command a contract exceeding $60 million per year, making him one of the highest-paid players in the league.
With the 2024 season approaching, Cowboys fans can breathe a sigh of relief knowing their star quarterback is on track to lead the team, both on the field and, apparently, on the dance floor as well.
