For Minnesota Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson, participating in the Vogue World 2024 fashion show alongside his friend and Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was nothing short of “hilarious.”
Jefferson shared his thoughts exclusively with Us Weekly about the unique experience and his enduring camaraderie with Burrow, 27, during the premiere of the Netflix series “Receiver” in Los Angeles on Tuesday, July 9. The series, which documents the 2023 season of NFL players Davante Adams, George Kittle, Deebo Samuel, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Jefferson, became available for streaming on Netflix on Wednesday, July 10.
Reflecting on their shared history, Jefferson said, “With our history at LSU and just the chemistry we built there, it’s always cool to relive those moments, to chill with him, to talk with him, to be around him. It’s always been cool and genuine vibes all around. To see him step outside his comfort zone a little bit and walk in the show, it was definitely hilarious. It was great to see him step outside the box.”
The duo was a highlight at the high-profile event held on June 23 at the iconic Place Vendôme in Paris. Burrow made a bold statement in a backless suit designed by Peter Do, while Jefferson turned heads in a structured black blazer with satin lapels and wide-leg pants.

Following the event, Jefferson shared photos from the runway on Instagram, captioning them with, “I guess I’m a model now.” Burrow also took to social media, posting behind-the-scenes snaps from his runway debut. “With @VogueMagazine doing some new things,” he wrote. In a previous interview with Vogue, Burrow mentioned that he embraced the modeling opportunity to “grow as a person,” and noted, “I think the crossover between fashion and sport is going to continue to grow.”
In addition to their modeling debut, Jefferson and Burrow enjoyed French cuisine and were front-row guests at the Amiri fashion show, soaking in the Parisian fashion scene.
The shared experience of walking in the Vogue World 2024 fashion show not only highlighted their off-field interests but also showcased the strong bond between the two athletes, forged during their time at Louisiana State University. As they continue to make waves in both the sports and fashion worlds, their friendship and professional journeys remain closely intertwined.
