Las Vegas Raiders star Davante Adams recently provided fans with an intriguing glimpse into his offseason conversations with former quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
With Rodgers’ high-profile move from the Green Bay Packers to the New York Jets, many wondered if he would attempt to reunite with Adams, who was traded to the Raiders in 2022.
Adams shared insights during his appearance on “Up & Adams” with Kay Adams, discussing Rodgers’ efforts to lure him to the Big Apple. “He’s in the ear, that’s for sure,” Adams revealed, indicating that Rodgers had indeed been persuasive in his attempts. However, Adams emphasized the complexities involved in such a move. “It’s not as easy,” he explained. “Obviously, we can get together and talk about the old times and the potential of doing this and that, but like I said, I’m a Raider and he knows that.”

Adams and Rodgers shared eight successful seasons in Green Bay, particularly excelling from 2018 to 2021.
During this period, Adams averaged over 110 receptions and surpassed 1,300 receiving yards in three of the four years, while Rodgers secured two league MVP awards. Their synergy on the field was evident, making their potential reunion a topic of great interest among fans and analysts alike.
Despite the allure of reuniting with Rodgers, Adams remains committed to the Raiders. The 31-year-old wide receiver has three years left on his contract, with his cap number set to rise from $25.35 million this season to $44.1 million for each of the final two years.
While the Raiders might consider their options next offseason, releasing Adams from his contract would be a significant decision.
Should the Raiders contemplate moving on from Adams, the Jets, led by Rodgers, could be among the first teams to express interest. However, for now, Adams’ loyalty to the Raiders remains firm, and he continues to focus on making an impact in Las Vegas.
As the new NFL season approaches, the dynamic between Adams and Rodgers adds an extra layer of intrigue to the league’s unfolding narratives.
Whether or not their paths cross again on the same team remains to be seen, but for now, Adams is dedicated to his role with the Raiders, cherishing the memories of his time with Rodgers while looking forward to new achievements in his current chapter.
