Former President Donald Trump, a well-known enthusiast of combat sports, recently shared his insights on the much-anticipated Jake Paul-Mike Tyson boxing match.
Trump discussed the bout during an appearance on Logan Paul’s podcast, ‘Impaulsive,’ where topics ranged from the upcoming election to UFC dynamics and the Paul-Tyson fight itself.
During the podcast, Trump expressed concerns about Tyson’s ability to compete against a much younger opponent.
He reminisced about Tyson’s prowess in his prime but noted the inevitable impact of aging on athletic performance. “Mike was fantastic but Mike’s a little older now and you guys can fight…you guys can really fight…I always thought a UFC guy, a top contender could win even at 75 years old but it doesn’t work that way, the clock is still the clock,” Trump said, highlighting the challenges Tyson might face due to the age gap.

Jake Paul, seizing an opportunity to blend sports and celebrity presence, extended a public invitation to Trump during an interview on Fox News, encouraging him to attend the fight. “And Trump, if you’re watching this, this is an invite. I know you used to promote Tyson, so I’d love to have you at the fight. Vivek came to my other fight. And, of course, the silver fox, Barron Trump. So, Donny, pull up, we’ve got tickets for you,” Paul said, ensuring Trump knew that his presence at the ringside would be welcomed.
This gesture not only reflects the ongoing relationship between the sports and entertainment industries but also underscores the high-profile nature of the event, where figures from various spheres, including politics and sports, potentially converge, adding layers of spectacle and intrigue to the match.
