Many Georgia fans are thrilled to see Mecole Hardman rejoining the Kansas City Chiefs, as the former Bulldog inked a one-year deal for the 2024 season.
Pop star Taylor Swift also showed her excitement for Hardman’s return.
She joined Hardman’s Instagram Live on Thursday to celebrate both his return and the Chiefs receiving their Super Bowl rings for the previous season.
“AND WE GET ANOTHER YEAR OF MECOLE?,” commented Swift’s official Instagram account.

Despite being busy with her Eras Tour, performing her 100th show in Liverpool, England, this weekend, Swift made time to engage in the celebration for Hardman and the Chiefs.
Hardman played a crucial role in Kansas City’s latest Super Bowl victory, catching the game-winning touchdown in their 25-22 win. Although it was his only reception of the game, the 3-yard catch marked just the second overtime touchdown in Super Bowl history and was also Hardman’s first touchdown of the season.
Starting the 2023 season with the New York Jets, Hardman was traded back to the Chiefs, who had originally drafted him in the second round in 2019 after his stint at the University of Georgia.
Hardman was one of head coach Kirby Smart’s early significant recruits, signing as a 5-star recruit in Georgia’s 2016 class from Elberton, GA. During his tenure with Kansas City, he has secured three Super Bowl titles.
Hardman and Malik Herring, another former Bulldog, both received their Super Bowl rings with the Chiefs on Thursday night.
