The relationship between Celtics fans and Kyrie Irving remains strained.
Irving, who now plays for the Dallas Mavericks, parted ways with Boston in 2019 under less than amicable circumstances and has since experienced several tense moments at the Boston Garden.
Addressing the media, Irving commented on the atmosphere he faces when playing against the Celtics crowd. “It’s basketball at the end of the day. I’ve gotten used to this environment. Earlier in my career, my relationship with Boston was different… I thought it was going to be a little louder in here,” he remarked.
