In a troubling development reported by The Miami Herald, former Miami Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard is accused of sending sexually explicit images and videos of a woman to her son because she refused to have an abortion.
This allegation is part of a new court filing within an ongoing lawsuit against Howard, which also involves accusations that he shared explicit videos of another woman after their breakup.
According to the filing, the distressing events unfolded after Howard and the woman became involved in 2022. When she became pregnant that fall and declined Howard’s demand for an abortion, Howard allegedly retaliated by sending explicit images of her to her son, causing the boy considerable emotional distress. The woman occasionally used her son’s phone to communicate with Howard, which is how Howard had access to the boy’s contact information. The explicit messages were reportedly discovered on the son’s iCloud-connected device after the woman thought she had deleted them.
The boy’s lawyer, Adriana Alcalde, expressed disgust at Howard’s actions, stating, “This behavior is abhorrent, especially sending that to a child.” The legal team is now requesting permission for the boy to join the lawsuit against Howard.

This case follows another lawsuit where a different woman alleges that Howard shared explicit videos of her without consent after their relationship ended in July 2022.
She was made aware of the shared videos by another woman who had also received them.
In response to this woman’s refusal to engage in sexual relations, Howard reportedly shared the videos to upset her. The woman acknowledged that Howard had filmed them together once with her consent but did not consent to the distribution of the footage. Now, her legal representatives are trying to determine how widespread the sharing of these images and videos might have been.
Howard, who was a first-team All-Pro in 2020 and has participated in four Pro Bowls, was released by the Dolphins in March with three years remaining on his contract. Last season, he played 13 games, achieving 45 total tackles and one interception. Currently a free agent, neither Howard nor his former team has responded to these allegations publicly.
