Travis Kelce affirmed that he would willingly return to the White House with his Kansas City Chiefs teammates, regardless of who is president, including if Donald Trump were to be re-elected.
Last week, President Joe Biden hosted the Chiefs to celebrate their second consecutive Super Bowl win. With the possibility of a third win next season, the Chiefs could be invited back during a presidential term that might be helmed by either Biden or Trump, depending on the outcome of the upcoming election.
While a visit during a Trump presidency could be seen as contentious given that Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, has been openly critical of Trump’s policies and statements, Kelce stated on his and his brother Jason’s podcast, New Heights, that his decision to visit the White House transcends the occupant of the Oval Office.
“It’s always an honor to go to the White House,” Kelce explained. “Any time I get a chance to be recognized by the President of the United States and go with my teammates…I’m doing it every time, no matter who’s up there at the helm.”

Kelce emphasized the importance of representing the Chiefs and cherishing the moment, regardless of political circumstances. “It’s such a cool opportunity. I think representing the Chiefs up there, I wanted to do that for the Hunt family and all our coaches.”
His openness to visiting the White House under any administration follows a minor social media controversy earlier this year when Kelce liked a photo featuring Trump, sparking discussion among fans, particularly those of Swift, who has been a vocal critic of Trump.
Despite the political tension, Trump has commented on Kelce’s high-profile relationship with Swift, wishing them well but skeptically noting, “most likely not,” about their future together.
This stance comes amidst various public and political narratives surrounding the couple, including bizarre conspiracy theories linking Swift’s relationship with Kelce and the Chiefs’ Super Bowl appearance to political campaigning for Biden.
