Pat McAfee has issued an apology live on his show after referring to Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark as a “white b—-” on Monday.
McAfee had previously apologized on Twitter following the heat he was taking after the comment.

People were particularly outraged by McAfee referring to Clark as a “white b—-.”
This led to McAfee issuing an apology on X which received praise from his fans.
I shouldn’t have used “white bitch” as a descriptor of Caitlin Clark. No matter the context.. even if we’re talking about race being a reason for some of the stuff happening.. I have way too much respect for her and women to put that into the universe. My intentions when saying it were complimentary just like the entire segment but, a lot of folks are saying that it certainly wasn’t at all. That’s 100% on me and for that I apologize… I have sent an apology to Caitlin as well. Everything else I said… still alllllll facts. #Journalism #WNBAProgrum #SheIsTheOne
Here’s his on-air apology from Tuesday:
“I utilized a descriptor that I certainly should not have used. …I utilized the words “white bitch” to describe Caitlin Clark as the superstar in Indiana. Now, when I was saying it, I legitimately meant it in a complimentary fashion.” – Pat McAfee.
Most notably, McAfee revealed that he apologized to Clark personally and they are “all good.”
