Seattle Storm guard Skylar Diggins-Smith recently stirred up social media with a lighthearted exchange with Los Angeles Sparks guard Kia Nurse.
The interaction between Diggins-Smith and Nurse became popular on X after a video clip from a preseason game between the Sparks and the Storm was shared widely.
In the video, Nurse, who was wearing a microphone, is seen conversing with Diggins-Smith just before the game starts. The conversation took a humorous turn and included some explicit language.
Diggins-Smith playfully commented on aging, to which Nurse, alarmed at realizing her mic was on, urgently reminded her.

Despite the heads-up about the microphone, Diggins-Smith seemed unfazed, possibly even aware of the mic from the start, simply choosing to joke around.
Despite this off-court buzz, Diggins-Smith showed no signs of slowing down on the court. The 33-year-old led her team in scoring with 14 points, along with contributing 4 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals in just 20 minutes.
However, even her stellar performance couldn’t secure a win for Seattle, as they were edged out by the Sparks 84-79.
