Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic is a straightforward individual who excels on the court and enjoys life’s simple pleasures.
Throughout his first six years in the NBA, Doncic has made a significant impact with his performances while maintaining his love for everyday activities, such as drinking beer.
His fondness for beer is well-known; he famously desired a ‘recovery’ beer following his 60-20-10 performance in overtime against the New York Knicks in 2022, which even led to Modelo gifting him a beer fridge.
That’s why it was quite a surprise when Mavericks’ assistant general manager and two-time NBA All-Star, Michael Finley, snatched a celebratory beer from Doncic that he was drinking besides his father.

This seemingly innocuous action had Finley going viral on social media Thursday night following the Mavericks Game 5 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Dallas Mavericks, with Doncic leading the way, have reached the NBA Finals for the third time in franchise history.
They previously faced the Miami Heat in both their finals appearances, losing in 2006 but securing victory in 2011.
This year, they will compete against the Boston Celtics.
Doncic has consistently thrived as an underdog, entering every playoff series of his career without home-court advantage, except for the first round in 2022.
Overcoming the Celtics in the Finals would fast-track Doncic toward becoming an all-time great, potentially winning a championship at age 25 after being named to five All-NBA teams in six seasons.
However, Jayson Tatum and the Celtics are also aiming for a historic victory in the 2024 NBA Finals, setting the stage for an epic showdown.
