Ukrainian tennis star Marta Kostyuk may not have been a household name outside of tennis circles, but her recent appearance at the French Open is changing that.
Not only did she secure an impressive first-round victory, but her striking green outfit, designed by Wilson, also captured the attention of many.
Kostyuk, known for combining style and performance, continued to make fashion statements similar to her eye-catching displays at the BNP Paribas Open. This partnership with Wilson not only highlights her flair for fashion but also underscores Wilson’s commitment to blending style and functionality for athletes.

On May 26, 2024, Kostyuk, seeded 18th, triumphed over Laura Pigossi in a grueling match that lasted over two hours, with scores of 7-5, 6-7(4), 6-4. Coming from two breaks down in the third set, Kostyuk demonstrated resilience and tenacity to clinch the win.
Looking ahead, Kostyuk is set to face world No. 40 Donna Vekic in the second round, marking their first encounter in a major competition.
Previously affiliated with Nike, Kostyuk’s switch to Wilson marks a significant milestone, making her the first athlete to fully represent the brand in a comprehensive head-to-toe partnership. “Growing up in a tennis family, Wilson has always been a trusted staple in my game,” Kostyuk expressed in a press release. “It feels surreal to officially be playing and wearing Wilson, a partnership that I know will inspire and evolve, just as the game does.”
Since winning the junior Australian Open in 2017, Kostyuk has risen as a notable young talent in tennis. Making her Top 50 debut in February 2022, she has also been an outspoken supporter of Ukraine following the Russian invasion, contributing to her profile both on and off the court. She finished the 2022 season with two doubles titles, according to Tennis.com.
