The Minnesota Timberwolves are on the brink of elimination after losing 116-107 to the Dallas Mavericks in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals on Sunday night in Dallas.
Having entered the series on a high after defeating Nikola Jokic and the reigning champion Denver Nuggets in the conference semifinals, the Timberwolves have struggled to close out games against the Mavericks and now face the possibility of a sweep on Tuesday.
Karl-Anthony Towns had a particularly tough night, failing to make any of his eight three-point attempts. Draymond Green, providing analysis on TNT’s Inside the NBA, was critical of Towns’ performance.
“He’s just not answering the bell. This is typical of KAT’s career; when the going gets tough, he tends to falter,” Green commented.

Despite being competitive in each game of the series, the Timberwolves have consistently come up short in crucial moments.
They now face a do-or-die situation in Game 4, needing a win to avoid an early vacation.
